Native to warm, humid tropical forests, this epiphytic vine is perfectly suited to hanging baskets, tall shelves, or plant walls where its trailing stems can spill and show off their dramatic form.

When given bright, indirect light for several hours a day, ‘Rasta’ produces the most abundant foliage and blooms, and can tolerate a small amount of gentle morning or late-afternoon sun indoors. Ideal temperatures range from roughly 70–80°F, with protection from cold drafts and hot, dry air. Keep the plant in a well-draining, airy mix (such as a chunky tropical blend) and allow the top half of the substrate to dry before watering again to prevent root issues.

This cultivar appreciates consistent humidity, making it a great candidate for bathrooms, grouped plant displays, or lightly humidified spaces near windows. Fertilize lightly during the active growing season to support flowering, then reduce feeding in cooler months when growth slows. With proper care, Aeschynanthus ‘Rasta’ rewards you with long, cascading vines, textured foliage, and repeated flushes of bright blooms that add color and movement to any collection.

Care highlights (for bullet list section)
• Light: Bright, indirect light; tolerates a small amount of soft direct sun.
• Temperature: Prefers warm indoor temperatures around 70–80°F, away from drafts.
• Water: Let roughly half of the soil volume dry before watering, avoiding consistently soggy conditions.
• Humidity: Enjoys moderate to high humidity similar to other tropical epiphytes.
• Growth habit: Trailing vining plant with twisted, curly foliage and rich red lipstick-style blooms.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0852/4775/4597/files/972392A9-D708-4C65-B206-014AEE7C04FD.jpg?v=1786069138
//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0852/4775/4597/collections/4C0B9BD6-0DFB-4661-8E1A-C9D15829C60E.jpg?v=1786403279
